EuroGOOS is pleased to announce the opening of the application period for Glider School 2025, organised by our member PLOCAN (Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands). The training will take place at the PLOCAN headquarters from 20 to 24 October 2025.
Glider School is recognised as the leading hands-on training forum in ocean glider technology, offering in-depth practical and theoretical instruction on the operation and application of autonomous underwater gliders for ocean observation.
We are proud to note that Carlos Barrera, representing PLOCAN and Chair of the EuroGOOS Glider Task Team, plays a key role in the organisation of this important initiative, which contributes significantly to the advancement of glider technology and capacity building within the EuroGOOS community.
Applications are open until 30 June 2025.

The list of selected participants will be published on this website in early July 2025.
