EuroGOOS is looking for a full-time scientific officer to join the team in Brussels, Belgium.
- Defining societal drivers for ocean observations in the Atlantic Basin;
- Collect observing system requirements from various marine and maritime users;
- Supporting development of recommendations for sustained monitoring of Essential Ocean Variables (EOVs);
- Designing the web-based monitoring tool of the Atlantic ocean observing system;
- Gathering information on member state observing systems, costs and gaps in such systems and jointly formulate plans for sustaining the system with national institutes;
- Producing meeting reports.
Deadline for applications: Friday 24 July 2015. Interviews are likely to take place between 17 and 21 August 2015 in Brussels. Contract will start as soon as possible.
