European Maritime Day (EMD) is the annual meeting point for Europe’s maritime community to network, discuss and forge joint action for sustainable maritime economy. At the EMD 2017, high-level sessions and stakeholder workshops will focus on four themes: Safety and Security; People and Skills; Innovation and Growth; and Sustainability and Governance.
EuroGOOS is taking part in the conference exhibition with a dedicated stand promoting the European ocean observing efforts and projects. Furthermore, EuroGOOS Chair Dr. Erik Buch will speak at the COLUMBUS–EMODnet workshop on marine data for Blue Growth (workshop 16) on Thursday 18 May (agenda).
