EuroGOOS Ocean Literacy WG and European Marine Board Communications Panel members at a joint hybrid session on 20 October 2021
EuroGOOS Ocean Literacy Working Group met in a hybrid meeting hosted by IEO Malaga.
Members presented their Ocean Literacy activities, discussed the WG work plan, and elected co-chairs. Angela Pomaro (CNR, Italy) and Yolanda Koulouri (HCMR, Greece) will co-chair the WG together with Dina Eparkhina as coordinator of EuroGOOS UN Ocean Decade Action ‘Scientists for Ocean Literacy’.
The meeting started with a joint session with the European Marine Board’s Communications Panel (EMBCP) where participants discussed ways to promote science communication and ocean literacy in the UN Ocean Decade with the representative of the Decade Communication Advisory Board.
