A number of stakeholder workshops are scheduled to take place during the EMD 2014 in Bremen among them:

a. “Ocean Observation” – B, 19 May 11 am – 12.30 pm, organised jointly by EuroGOOS and EMODnet. This workshop will introduce, explore and define key components of a fully functional end-to-end system for European ocean observation, emphasising the need for close collaboration between science and industry for new technologies and new services in support of Blue Growth. b. “Satellite technology for maritime security and safety”, 19 May at 9 – 10.30 am, jointly organised by the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) and the Copernicus FP7 projects DOLPHIN and NEREIDS. The workshop aims to present how satellite-based technologies and Copernicus (the European Earth Observation programme) contribute to maritime security, safety, marine environmental protection and therefore to Blue Growth. For more information click [wpfilebase tag=fileurl id=134 linktext=’here‘ /].
