The conference will reflect on the progress of the establishment of the European Ocean Observing System (EOOS) as a coordinating framework for better alignment and integration of Europe’s ocean observing capacity, and the results from the EOOS recent stakeholder consultation. The objectives of this half day event, organised by EurOcean and its member the National Research Council of Italy (CNR), is to share information on recent developments and future plans for ocean observations in Europe and to discuss existing regional and European-wide ocean observation and supporting initiatives. Glenn Nolan will present the latest progress of EOOS.
