A few words about the Rome Declaration
A key output of EurOCEAN 2014 will be the development of a common vision on achieving an ecosystem approach to the management of Europe’s marine resources as a fundamental requirement for sustainable Blue Growth. This common vision will be delivered in the Rome Declaration, a consensus view of the EurOCEAN 2014 participants, reflecting that of the European marine science community.
The declaration draft, developed by the drafting group after consultation with a targeted group of stakeholders, is open for a ten-day consultation on the website, from 19 to 29 September 2014. Stakeholders are invited to provide feedback on the draft, either suggesting text updates, or by expressing their overall support.
