The EMODnet Physics team organized a workshop in the Adriatic, mainly with a focus on the Eastern Adriatic, to inform about EMODnet Physics activities and the underlying infrastructures (EuroGOOS, ROOSs, ROOS data portals, MyOcean, SeaDataNet) and for the institutes in the eastern Adriatic to present their respective activities related to EMODnet Physics.
26 enthusiastic participants met 3-4th December in Split. Discussions were very fruitful and ranging from local, national, regional to global scales. The workshop identified additional fixed stations that may be included in the Mediterranean ROOS data portal and what the issues are where data has restricted availability. Other topics discussed were, among other things, links to WMO and WIGOS and a common approach to address marine topics in the region.
