The European Marine Observation and Data Network (EMODnet) is a long-term marine data initiative from the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (DG MARE) underpinning its Marine Knowledge 2020 strategy. EMODnet comprises a consortium of more than 110 organisations assembling European marine data, data products and metadata from diverse sources in a uniform way.
The EMODnet Secretariat seeks to recruit a Project Officer to strengthen its professional and dynamic team. The successful candidate will be familiar with the European marine science landscape, be experienced in project delivery and have sound skills in science communication and stakeholder engagement. He/she will assist the Head of the EMODnet Secretariat in executing the Secretariat’s tasks and implementing its mission to support the development of a more efficient, effective and fit for purpose EMODnet that is better known and more widely used.
