oGOOS participated in the 2013 ESA Living Planet Symposium, which was held between 9-13 September at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre. The objectives of the symposium were to present the results of ESA Earth Observation missions and introduce missions in development. There was a wide variety of themes covered among which Oceanography, Atmosphere, Climate & Meteorology, Hazards, Methodologies & Products, etc.
There were sessions dedicated to Copernicus services, where the MyOcean and MACC-II projects were presented. The EuroGOOS Office made a poster contribution to the symposium on behalf of the GMES-PURE project consortium. The poster which summarizes the marine component of the project can be viewed here.
