45 representatives of EuroGOOS member institutes met in sunny Rome on 13-15 December. One of the main items on the agenda was to discuss the future of EuroGOOS. The meeting decided that EuroGOOS should become a legal entity and will therefore look to become a Belgian international non-profit association. A decision was also made to move the EuroGOOS Secretariat to Brussels during auturmn 2012.
The meeting was very glad to welcome the Marine Systems Institute from Tallinn, Estonia as a new EuroGOOS member.
