European Commission adopts OceanEye, reinforcing Europe's commitment to ocean observation
The European Commission adopted OceanEye today, a new initiative designed to strengthen Europe's capacity to observe, understand and predict changes in the ocean.
OceanEye will support EU ocean technology and innovation, and will position the EU at the forefront of international efforts to deliver a sustained global ocean observing system. With this, the EU is on course to meet the objective of having a fully operational European ocean observation system by 2030.

PLOCAN opens applications for the 16th edition of its International Glider School

Our member, the Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands (PLOCAN) has announced the opening of applications for the 16th edition of its Glider School, the leading hands-on ocean-glider technology training forum, scheduled to take place at PLOCAN headquarters from 19 to 23 October, 2026. The application window runs until 30 June.
