EuroGOOS at European Maritime Day 2025: Join us in Cork/Cobh!

EuroGOOS is pleased to announce our active participation in the upcoming European Maritime Day (EMD) taking place in Cork, Ireland, from 21–23 May 2025. We will be present with a dedicated stand, organise an official EMD workshop, and co-organise an EMD In My Country event, contributing to key discussions on ocean observation, marine knowledge, and blue economy innovation.

EuroGOOS Workshop: Ocean Observation – Foundation of Marine Knowledge

Date: 23 May 2025

Time: 15:00–16:15

Location: Clayton Hotel, Pegasus 1+2

This official EMD stakeholder workshop will spotlight the vital role of sustained and coordinated ocean observation in generating marine knowledge to support science, policy, innovation, fisheries, and the European Digital Twin Ocean.

With the Oceans Pact placing marine knowledge at the heart of sustainable ocean governance and blue economy growth, our expert panel will highlight how the Ocean Observation Initiative can optimise monitoring efforts and strengthen the entire marine data value chain. The session will feature perspectives from leading European and international networks, showcasing the collective momentum behind this critical initiative.
