On 12-15 July, the United Nations Ocean Decade Programme SciNMeet “The Mediterranean Sea We Need for the Future We Want” will hold its kick off in Rome, Italy. The event will be hosted by the Italian Oceanographic Commission and co-organized with the United Nations Environment/Mediterranean Action Plan (UNEP/MAP), IOC-UNESCO, and the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM/FAO), in collaboration with the BlueMed Initiative. EuroGOOS Office is on the interim steering committee of this initiative and will attend the launch event.
