2nd Ocean Observers Workshop 2021

Date
29/11/2021 - 01/12/2021

The Ocean Observers Workshop will take place virtually between 29 November and 1 December 2021. Its aim is to bring together ocean scientists and communicators, teachers, citizens involved in educational activities, and other stakeholders to share marine science educational resources and explore opportunities for international collaboration.

The event will include oral presentations, roundtables and informal discussions, hands-on experiments, and poster exhibitions. Interested contributors are invited to submit an abstract until 12 September 2021.

The workshop is organized by the international Ocean Observers Working Group, jointly led by OceanOPS (World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) – Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) Joint Centre for Oceanography and Marine Meteorology in situ Observations Programmes Support) and Euro-Argo. EuroGOOS’ Dina Eparkhina is on the programme committee and will chair a session dedicated to the contribution of the Ocean Observers initiative to the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development 2021-2030.
