GOOS Biology and Ecosystems Panel Meeting

Date
19/09/2016 - 21/09/2016

The Biology and Ecosystems Panel of the Global Ocean Observing System (GOOS Bio-Eco) has been set up to develop and coordinate efforts to include essential biological and ecosystem variables in the GOOS. This panel aims to work cooperatively and across disciplines with other GOOS panels. Together, they will contribute to enhance global ocean observations and achieve critical policy development and management decisions on ocean and coastal resource sustainability and health.

The GOOS panels aim, by the OceanObs’ 2019 conference, to identify a set of Essential Ocean Variables to support international reporting needs (including Sustainable Development Goals, Convention on Biological Diversity, World Ocean Assessment, etc).
