The workshop (7-8 April) will discuss the challenges for the FerryBox community in terms of the integration within the existing networks, data management (e.g. in relation with Copernicus and EMODnet), design and production of FerryBox-specific sensors, and scienfic value of the FerryBox measurements.
The workshop themes are:
- Status of application of FerryBoxes in different regions;
- Integration of FerryBox systems in observation networks;
- FerryBox data management and quality control;
- New sensors and their application in FerryBox systems;
- Scientific applications of FerryBox measurements; and
- FerryBox data and models.
A joint FerryBox – JERICO-Next meeting will take place prior to the workshop, on 6 April. The meeting will discuss relevant work packages in the JERICO project as well as the EuroGOOS tasks related to delivering a Ferrybox roadmap and a common database.
