EU H2020 COLUMBUS 1st Annual Conference

Date
02/03/2016

The 1st COLUMBUS conference will analyse knowledge transfer perpectives, discuss case studies and look ahead to achieving the project’s legacy. A flagship European Commission’s Horizon 2020 project, COLUMBUS is looking for concrete solutions to transfer valuable research project results into applicable contributions to the European policies.

This event will gather project partners, knowledge generators and end-users, as well as knowledge transfer specialists.

EuroGOOS will deliver a presentation on the European Ocean Observing System, EOOS. A coordinating framework aligning and integrating Europe’s ocean observing capacity, EOOS will promote a systematic and collaborative approach to collecting information on the state and variability of our seas and underpin sustainable management of the marine environment and its resources.

EOOS will be built as an end-to-end framework for the European ocean observing and will be playing a key role in transferring the information and knowledge to a broad range of end-users. EuroGOOS have partnered with the European Marine Board to kick-start the process of stakeholder engagement.
