The EGU has this week launched a new publication, Earth Observation (EO), an open-access, two-stage journal with open and public peer review, following the model of other EGU journals, published by Copernicus Publications.

The contract will support the implementation of EU sea basin strategies in the Atlantic Ocean, Black Sea, Western Mediterranean and North Sea, providing tailored technical assistance to the European Commission, Member States and partner countries.

The initiative aims to strengthen European coordination in ocean observation, improve access to reliable marine data, and position the EU as a global leader in ocean knowledge and related technologies,
