EuroGOOS Secretary General Renuka Badhe awarded the 2026 SCAR Medal for International Coordination

EuroGOOS is delighted to announce that our Secretary General, Renuka Badhe, has been awarded the 2026 SCAR Medal for International Coordination by the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR).
The SCAR Medals recognise outstanding contributions to Antarctic and Southern Ocean research, as well as exceptional service to the international Antarctic community. The Medal for International Coordination honours individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in fostering international collaboration and advancing scientific cooperation.
The 2026 SCAR Medal recipients will be formally recognised during the SCAR Medals Award Ceremony, held as part of the Closing Ceremony of the 12th SCAR Open Science Conference in Oslo, Norway, on 14 August 2026.
