EuroGOOS and EOOS submit their responses to the European Ocean Observation Initiative

EuroGOOS and EOOS have recently submitted their responses to the European Ocean Observation Initiative Call for Evidence, contributing to the consultation process launched by the European Commision.

Through this initiative, building on the Ocean Pact, the European Commission proposes an objective-driven approach to serve society’s needs.

It covers key areas across the knowledge value chain, to ensure long-term sustainability and strategic autonomy in ocean observation, integrate EU marine services, support international collaboration and secure international data, ensure the co-design of policies and help Member States build capacity.
