EGU Launches New Open-Access Journal Earth Observation (EO)

The European Geosciences Union (EGU) has launched a new open-access journal, Earth Observation (EO), published by Copernicus Publications. The journal follows EGU’s two-stage publication model with open and public peer review, in line with other EGU journals.

Earth Observation (EO) is dedicated to the discussion and publication of high-quality studies and original research on Earth observation technologies and methods. It will cover the full breadth of Earth observation, from sensor and instrument design and construction to missions and campaigns, as well as analysis methods and applications of broad interest within the geosciences and beyond.

Operating in a truly interdisciplinary way, the journal welcomes contributions from a wide and diverse community, including Earth observation research scientists, engineers, and practitioners. Submissions are also encouraged from related fields, including economic, societal, and educational perspectives, as well as disciplines beyond the natural sciences.

EO has been launched online and is now open for submissions.
