THALASSA 2026 – Marine Sciences Conference
Date: 21 May 2026 - 22 May 2026
Type: In-Person
Our member, the Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute (CMMI) and the PUREEF-Y project are the organisers of the third regional conference: THALASSA 2026 – Marine Sciences Conference which will take place on 21-22 May 2026 in Larnaka, Cyprus (Larnaca Municipal Art Gallery and Sun Hall Hotel).
THALASSA 2026 will create a platform for knowledge exchange by bringing together marine experts and stakeholders from academic and research institutes, industry, NGOs, and the public sector who will present the latest interdisciplinary innovations and state-of-the-art development that bridge scientific, technological, social and policy perspectives. Addressing and proposing science-based solutions to the challenges faced by marine and coastal environments in the Mediterranean region, the conference will also provide networking opportunities for participants to discuss current and potential collaborations.
We invite submissions of abstracts contributing novel insights and interdisciplinary perspectives, particularly those that explore the nexus of environmental change with both ecosystem and cultural heritage dimensions. Join us for two days of knowledge exchange, collaboration, and innovation to help shape the future of the marine environment and cultural heritage in our region.
