The European Ocean Carbon Summit is a campaign led by a coalition of Horizon Europe projects working to advance understanding of ocean carbon and strengthen Ocean Carbon Intelligence.
The initiative brings together EU-funded projects investigating the role of the ocean in the carbon cycle to jointly develop a report outlining the objectives, achievements, and key outcomes of this European research portfolio, alongside recommendations for future research and funding priorities.
The report will be presented during an interactive event in Brussels on 26 May 2027, bringing together researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders interested in ocean carbon science and its contribution to evidence-based decision-making. The event is open to all interested participants.
