European Marine Citizen Science Week

From 14 to 20 September 2026, European Marine Citizen Science Week will invite people across Europe to contribute to the observation of marine biodiversity.
Participants can visit coastal areas, photograph marine species and upload their observations to the MINKA Citizen Observatory. These contributions help provide valuable information on marine biodiversity across Europe.
The initiative is organised by the EU-funded BioEcoOcean project and aims to promote public participation in marine biodiversity observation and citizen science. No previous experience is required to participate.
