Digital Ocean Week

The Digital Ocean Week will be held in Brussels and online from 8 to 12 June 2026 (NHOW Bloom Hotel).

This week will bring together scientists, policymakers, technology experts and users of marine data to explore the latest achievements of the Copernicus Marine Service along with the growing role of Artificial Intelligence and the European Digital Twin Ocean.

Digital Ocean Week will be organised as follows:

  • The week will open with a high-level event on World Oceans Day, setting the European policy context under the EU Ocean Pact
  • It will be followed by the 9th Copernicus Marine General Assembly (9–10 June), focusing on the evolution of the service and future priorities.

  • At its centre, the OceanEye high-level event (10 June) will bring together European institutions, Member States, and key stakeholders to discuss the initiative launch by the President of the European Commission. 
  • The week will conclude with the AI Ocean Forum (11–12 June), dedicated to the role of artificial intelligence in ocean monitoring, forecasting, and decision support, and to the development of next-generation digital ocean services. 

Through collaboration and innovation, the Digital Ocean Week aims to strengthen Europe’s capacity to better understand, protect, and sustainably manage ocean and coastal ecosystems.
