Blue-Cloud 2026 Ocean Literacy Series Webinar 3: Artificial Intelligence as a Tool for Ocean Literacy
Date: 16 April 2026 - 19 March 2026
Type: Virtual
The Blue-Cloud 2026 project is organising the last webinar as part of the Ocean Literacy Series dedicated to Artificial Intelligence as a Tool for Ocean Literacy.
This webinar will explore how artificial intelligence, scientific research and digital platforms can work together to enhance ocean literacy and unlock the full potential of ocean data. By using AI, ocean stakeholders can create more accurate and engaging representations of ocean health. You will hear testimonials from leading European initiatives which are capitalising on AI to improve ocean management, forecasting and risk prediction, while filling ocean knowledge gaps in fauna, flora and dynamics. The webinar will close by highlighting the importance of strengthening teenagers’ scientific literacy and critical thinking in relation to AI-generated ocean content, promoting the ability to distinguish reliable information and support accurate and valuable scientific and societal knowledge.
Tiago Garcia (EuroGOOS Ocean Literacy Working Group and +ATLANTIC) will present “Advancing Ocean Literacy and Education for Critical Thinking in the AI Era: Project 19”.
