7th EU Blue Parks Community Workshop: From Science to Practice

The 7th EU Blue Parks Community Workshop will take place on 16 November 2026 in Bruges, Belgium, as a side event of the 7th World Conference on Marine Biodiversity. Organised in partnership with the Blue4all project, the workshop will bring together marine protected area (MPA) managers, policymakers, researchers and project representatives to discuss how scientific knowledge and project outcomes can support effective marine conservation.
Under the theme “From science to practice: co-creating effective MPAs to meet the EU marine protection targets”, the event will explore practical tools, methodologies and lessons learned from EU-funded projects. It will also highlight the experiences of Blue4all across 15 European MPAs and introduce the new MPA Solutions Hub, designed to facilitate access to resources supporting marine protection.
The workshop will contribute to knowledge exchange and collaboration among stakeholders, supporting the EU's marine protection objectives and the EU Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030”.
