SeaDataCloud project kick-off meeting

Date
30/11/2016 - 01/12/2016

The SeaDataNet pan-European infrastructure has been developed by National Oceanographic Data Centres (NODCs) and European marine research institutes from 34 countries, in the frame of two European projects (FP6/SeaDataNet – 2006-2011 and FP7/SeaDataNet II – 2011-2015). Over 100 marine data centres are connected and provide discovery and access to data resources for all European researchers. SeaDataNet is a key infrastructure driving several portals of the European Marine Observation and Data network (EMODnet) and complementing the Copernicus Marine Environmental Monitoring Service (CMEMS).

SeaDataCloud is a new project funded by the European Commission to further develop effective data access, standards, tools and services following international and IT requirements.

EuroGOOS is partner in the project and at the kick-off Patrick Gorringe will deliver presentations on the links of SeaDataCloud with other major European marine data initiatives and recommend steps towards a better integration.
