Representatives of IOC Member States and Observers will participate in this formal IOC Executive Council meeting, addressing the IOC role in the implementation of global policies, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the ocean governance, and the COP21 Paris Agreement. The meeting will also address the current and future IOC work pillars. World Oceans Day will be celebrated at UNESCO Headquarters on Wednesday 8 June during the session of the Executive Council.
