The workshop will review the Euro-Argo research infrastructure as well as the international argo programmes. The new European argo strategy will be discussed including the implementation of Bio-Argo and Deep-Argo. Glenn Nolan, EuroGOOS Secretary General and member of the Euro-Argo Scientific and Technical Advisory Group, will give a talk on the argo role in the European Ocean Observing System (EOOS), and Richard Bates, EC DG MARE, will update the meeting on the European Commission project on Monitoring the Oceans and Climate Change with Argo.
The Euro-Argo ERIC scientific workshop will take place back to back with the Euro-Argo Council and Scientific and Technical Advisory Group meetings.
