41st CIESM Congress

The CIESM congress is one of the largest multi-disciplinary marine science events. The 41st CIESM congress , to take place in Kiel, Germany, will attract researchers working on the Mediterranean and Black Seas as well as the Red Sea, the Kara Sea, and the Atlantic shores. 90 sessions will cover key scientific issues, spanning marine geo-sciences, ocean climate, marine food-webs, invasive species, to marine plastics, biotechnology, geo-chemistry and marine policy. Each session will include a 30-minute open floor discussion.
EuroGOOS is taking part in the 41st CIESM congress with a talk ‘Towards a European Ocean Observing System (EOOS)’, promoting an integrated end-to-end EOOS based on open data and a bottom-up approach.
